about

Retired Liberian United Methodist Bishop John G. Innis and his wife Irene dedicated most of their lives to the empowerment of their people, through efforts of their work with the church and personal initiatives. During and after the Liberian civil war, they established and sustained projects that centered around the education, healthcare, and economic empowerment of people in rural Liberia.

Their initiatives brought hope to thousands and gained international support by various churches, corporations, organizations, and individuals who partnered in their efforts. Looking to grow and build on their vision for a better Liberia, the family of Bishop & Mrs. Innis officially established the Innis Foundation in their honor to promote, sustain, and build on their service to communities in rural Liberia. Through faith and action, we  are dedicated to helping rural communities in Liberia harness their maximum potential by providing access to HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, and ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (HEED) opportunities.
